Back in 1982, "Harry the Hat" Anderson performed a geek trick on Saturday Night Live by shoving a needle through his arm. As his blood trickled to the floor, Harry called the screaming spectators "a bunch of namby-pambies", insisting it was all a trick. Mimicing a violinist by moving the needle back and forth through his wound, Harry caused an even louder reaction by asking "Would you like me to play 'Melancholy Baby'?". iFriday Dave

Illustration Friday (IF, iFriday) was a weekly challenge to illustrate a one-word theme (wind, smoke, invention, etc.) globally announced on Friday nights. It was similar in spirit to Photo Friday, 24 Hour Comics, 48 Hour Films, and Sketchcrawl. Participants usually posted on their own blogs, then shared links to various iFriday boards. This is from my 2006-2007 participation.
